No trip to South Florida would be complete without sampling the flavors that define this amazing Floridian culture. For this week’s Rent By Owner Best Of Awards, we’ve selected five must-visit Cuban Restaurants that surely will make your vacation in Florida memorably delicious.
Cuban restaurants in Florida, especially in Miami, are a dime a dozen. It is almost impossible to walk ten feet without finding a window from which you can buy a ‘cortadito’ (Cuban espresso) or a café filled with people playing dominoes and eating the world-famous Cuban sandwiches.
Without further ado, here are our top Cuban restaurants in Florida:
El Exquisito Restaurant – Miami
Located on the popular 8th street in Little Havana, this restaurant is recognized for its great flavor, excellent coffee, and outstanding customer service. You will even be offered some complementary wine when you arrive – what’s not to love?
Padrino’s Cuban Bistro – Orlando
Located inside a strip mall, 20 minutes away from Downtown Disney, this bistro is famous for it’s great and fast service. According to regulars, the complementary deep fried plantains are excellent.
Little Havana – Deerfield Beach
This restaurant is the perfect place for large parties, banquets, and Sunday family meals. Expect perfectly cooked black beans and fluffy, buttery white rice every visit, along with savory ham croquetas.
Sergio’s – Coral Gables
Sergio’s is Florida’s capital of Cuban comfort food. It looks, smells and tastes like a roadside diner off a rural highway in Cuba. Don’t forget to try the ‘pollo a la plancha’ (Chicken breast) and the ‘tostones’ (smashed and double-fried plantains). This restaurant is famous for it’s ‘café con leche’ (coffee latte).
El Palacio De Los Jugos – Miami
The name of this popular eatery translates to “the juice palace” as it serves freshly made exotic juices. This is one of the most well-known and authentic places to eat Cuban food in Florida. El Palacio de los Jugos is like a fruit market that also sells serves buffet-style Cuban Staples. It’s not fancy, but you will find everyone from bohemians to businessmen here.
